Yesterday marked the first official event for Team Charger Challenge. As posted on the blog, we traveled to Camp Calvary in Bernville, Pennsylvania. We joined forces with Calvary Baptist school to encourage them to be more transparent in their relationships and walk more deeply in community with one another. What a day it was! God worked in lives from the very beginning of the day!
The Team Charger summer ministry had the opportunity to lead "Walk the Line" this summer, but this was the first time we led a high school in this program. Students and teachers alike were asked to cross the line for the subjects that applied to them. While it may have been difficult to cross at times, there were many others on the other side with their hands up showing their support for one another. One of the coolest parts of the day was seeing the students and teachers on opposite sides of the line showing support for one another. I truly believe God is going to do big things through His people at Calvary this year!
Students and teachers had the opportunity to break up into small groups and discuss what they had just experienced. This time was equally incredible! Walls were broken down, students were inspired, and change already began to transpire! One student said, "you guys were a crazy good encouragement the last three days, thanks so much!" The unique thing about serving is that while you go in hopes to bless others, it is often the case that you walk away just as blessed. This held true for our team as it was an honor to serve these great students and faculty.
T.J. had the chance to travel back to his old stomping grounds!

Lancaster Bible College students participating in the Team Charger Challenge

Welcome to the official blogging site of Team Charger Challenge! We are a brand new ministry through Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Maybe you have heard of Team Charger? If so, great! They are awesome! We are a branch of Team Charger and hope to make the same kind of impact they did in their summer ministry. We are unique in that we exist to specifically serve Christian schools, youth groups, and beyond. Team Charger Challenge was created to encourage students to be more transparent in their relationships and walk more deeply in community with one another. Our end goal is to see a lasting transformation  in the culture of Christian students. Our Be4Real Challenge is a 6 ½ hr. program, which can be tailored for your retreat, chapel service, etc. The Challenge consists of four main techniques allowing teens to be authentic with one another and Be4Real:

The Iceberg: activities designed to engage students and break down barriers
If You Really Knew Me: authentic time with small groups
Walk-the-Line: powerful visual demonstration of authenticity and true community
Celebration: testimonies, commitments, and celebrating who we are in God’s eyes
